The TEAM(WORK) Challenge is officially underway, and if you’ve signed up there’s a chance you not only committed to taking 20 classes in 30 days, but you’ve also committed to becoming BETTER, STRONGER, OR FASTER.
To help manage your progress and bring your goals to life we’ve created a set of Benchmarks executed on Saturday, October 31st, and November 22nd. Your Barry’s trainer will walk you through each in the Red Room and At-Home, but if you can’t make class you can execute on your own.
Here’s how.
- BETTER (ENDURANCE)
The benchmark for the ENDURANCE track is a 60-second push up challenge and a timed quarter-mile.
See how many push ups you can do (with proper form) in 60 seconds and track their reps. Start a timer and give yourself a full minute to complete. Count your reps and make a note so you remember what you’re working to beat!
Additionally, you’ll run a timed quarter-mile either on the treadmill, or outdoors using a GPS-based running app. We recommend Nike Run Club, Runkeeper, or Map My Run. Start with a 5-6 minute warm up, and then start your timed trial. Track your pace and distance and try to beat your time for the final Benchmark. Be safe out there!
- FASTER (RUN)
The benchmark for the FASTER track is a 5k time trial. You can sign up for the 5k time trial on the 31st via At-Home, or run independently either on a treadmill, or outdoors using a GPS-based running app.
We recommend Nike Run Club, Runkeeper, or Map My Run. Start with a 5-6 minute warm-up, and then start your timed trial. Remember how long it takes you to complete, and aim to finish faster at the conclusion of the challenge. If you’re outside, be mindful of the environment around you!
- STRONGER (LIFT)
The benchmark for the STRONGER track is a 60-second push up challenge.
See how many push ups you can do (with proper form) in 60 seconds and track their reps. Start a timer and give yourself a full minute to complete. Count your reps and make a note so you remember what you’re working to beat!
- CHOOSE YOUR OWN
Your only goal is consistency, but it’s not as easy as it may sound! Book your classes and plan accordingly. You got this.
GOOD LUCK, TEAM!
